Al-Najm 3 of 3
So did you observe him who turned away? 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
