Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
