T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
