T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
