1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet? 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allah's disobedience which you used to do in this world); 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 shall have a known provision -- 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 Round will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain, 45 White, delicious for the drinkers. 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 Then he will say, "Shall we look for him?" 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)." 57 What then, shall we not die 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 for the like of this let the workers work.' 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 EXCEPT for God's true servants, [most people are apt to go astray.] 74
