We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
