۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew – 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 why are you then not able to bring them back to life if you are truthful? 87 Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah), 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he is of those on the right hand, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
