The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 has created man, 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 so that you would maintain justice. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 25
