Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The sure calamity! 1 How tremendous is the true event! 2 And what have you understood, how tremendous the true event is! 3 The tribes of Thamud and A’ad denied the event of great dismay. (The Day of Resurrection) 4 Thamood, they were destroyed by the violent shout (of Gabriel), 5 The Ads were destroyed by a swift, destructive gale 6 Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees. 7 Do you see any remnants of them? 8 And Firaun, and those before him, and the dwellings that were inverted and thrown, had brought error. 9 They did not follow the Messenger of their Lord, and so He seized them with a severe grip. 10 When the flood rose high and covered the whole land, We carried you in the Ark. 11 as a lesson for you, but only attentive ears will retain it. 12 When the single blast is sounded on the trumpet, 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and then crushed with a single blow, 14 Then, on that day will the Event befall. 15 and the sky will be rent asunder - for, frail will it have become on that Day; 16 On its fringes will be angels, eight of them, bearing their Lord's throne aloft. 17 On that day you shall be exposed, not one secret of yours concealed. 18 So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! 19 "I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!" 20 so he will live in a state of Bliss 21 In a Garden lofty. 22 Whereof the clusters are in easy reach. 23 (And told:) "Eat and drink to your fill as reward for (good) deeds you had done in days of yore." 24 And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me! 25 Nor that I knew my reckoning! 26 I wish death had put an end to me. 27 "My wealth has not availed me, 28 my authority is gone from me.' 29 Lay hold of him and chain him; 30 Then throw him in the blazing Fire. 31 "Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!" 32 "This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High. 33 Nor urged others to feed the poor. 34 So no friend has he here this Day, 35 nor any food save the filth 36 “Which none except the guilty shall eat.” 37

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
