Al-Mu' minoon 5 of 6
It is He who produced for you hearing, and eyes, and hearts; little thanks you show. 78 It is He who multiplied you on the earth, and it will be before Him that you will be gathered. 79 It is He Who gives life and causes death, and He holds mastery over the alternation of night and day. Do you not understand this? 80 And talk as did the people of old. 81 They say: When we are dead and have become (mere) dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again? 82 Indeed, this [very thing] we have been promised - we and our forefathers - long ago! This is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 83 Say thou: whose is the earth and whosoever is therein, if you know? 84 They will quickly reply, "It belongs to God." Say, "Will you not, then, take heed?" 85 Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty Throne?' 86 They will surely say: "Allah." Say: "Will you not, then, fear (Allah)?" 87 Say: "Who is it in whose hands is the governance of all things,- who protects (all), but is not protected (of any)? (say) if ye know." 88 They will reply spontaneously, "It is God." Ask them, "Why has falsehood bewitched you?" 89 We have sent them the Truth: but they indeed practise falsehood! 90 No son (or offspring or children) did Allah beget, nor is there any ilah (god) along with Him; (if there had been many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others! Glorified be Allah above all that they attribute to Him! 91 He knows both what is visible and what is not visible. Exalted is Allah above all that they associate with Him. 92

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
