The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars fall, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 where then are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
