This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you, (O people!), on whom it is that the evil ones descend? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
