By no means! By the moon, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 About the criminals, 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
