We rescued the Israelites from the humiliating torment 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
