The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 By the angels driving away. 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
