The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 surely, your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 What, and our fathers, the ancients?' 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
