99 verses, revealed in Mecca after Joseph (Yousuf) before Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Alif Lam Ra. These are the verses of a clear Book, the Quran. 1 Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to Allah's will) in Islam. 2 Leave them alone; let them eat and enjoy themselves the while the hope [of vain delights] beguiles them: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 3 Not one habitation have We destroyed but at the time determined for it. 4 Every nation can only live for the time appointed for it. 5 And they say: O you to whom the Reminder has been revealed! you are most surely insane: 6 Why dost thou not bring before us angels, if thou art a man of truth? 7 We send not down the angels save with the Fact, and in that case (the disbelievers) would not be tolerated. 8 As for the Admonition, indeed it is We Who have revealed it and it is indeed We Who are its guardians. 9 And indeed We sent Noble Messengers before you, to the former nations. 10 and never yet came an apostle to them without their deriding him. 11 Even so We make a way for it (that is, the Admonition) in the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod); 12 They do not believe in it even though the practice of the ancients has already gone. 13 and even if We opened to them a door from heaven, and they began ascending through it, 14 they would surely have said, "It is only our eyes that are spellbound! Nay, we have been bewitched! 15

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
