Said the eminent among the people of Pharaoh, "Indeed, this is a learned magician 109 who seeks to drive you from your land!" Pharaoh said, "What then do you advise?" 110 They said: "Put him and his brother off (for a time), and send callers (men) to the cities to collect (and) - 111 who should bring to you every skillful magician." 112 And the enchanters came to Firon (and) said: We must surely have a reward if we are the prevailing ones. 113 Pharaoh replied: 'Certainly, and you shall be among those who are near to me.' 114 They said: 'Moses, will you throw first or shall we be the throwers' 115 'Throw' he replied. And when they threw, they bewitched the people's eyes and terrified them, and produced great sorcery. 116 And We revealed to Musa, saying: Cast your rod; then lo! it devoured the lies they told. 117 ۞ Thus the Truth prevailed and their false art was banished. 118 Pharaoh and his men were defeated and utterly humiliated. 119 The sorcerers fell to the ground in homage, 120 They said, “We have accepted faith in the Lord Of The Creation.” 121 The Lord of Musa and Harun. 122 Pharaoh said: 'What! Do you believe before you have my permission? Surely this is a plot you have contrived to drive out the rulers from the capital. So you shall see, 123 I will cut off your hands and feet on alternate sides and then crucify you all!" 124 They said, 'Surely unto our Lord we are turning. 125 "The only reason you have to hate us is that we believed in the signs of our Lord as they came to us. O our Lord, give us sufficient endurance that we may die submitting (to You)." 126
