In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Sad: By the Qur'an, Full of Admonition: (This is the Truth). 1 Nay, but those who disbelieve are in false pride and schism. 2 How many ancient generations did We destroy? (On facing Our torment) they cried out for help, but it was too late for them to escape. 3 And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves. And the disbelievers say, "This is a magician and a liar. 4 Has he turned so many gods into one deity? This is indeed a strange thing!" 5 And their leading chiefs said: "Remain attached to your gods. There is surely some motive behind it. 6 “We never heard of this even in Christianity, the latest religion; this is clearly a newly fabricated matter.” 7 “Is the Qur’an which is sent to him, among us?” In fact they are in a doubt concerning My Book; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or is it that they have the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Mighty, the great Giver? 9 Do they own the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Let them try on their own to block (the ways of heavens so that Our revelations cannot come to you). 10 Here there is a host of the confederates only to be defeated. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and [the tribe of] 'Aad and Pharaoh, the owner of stakes, 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates. 13 Of all these there was not one who did not deny the messengers. So My retribution was justified. 14

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
