We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say): 'This is what you have been trying to avoid' 19 The trumpet will certainly be sounded. This will be the day (about which you) were threatened. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!" 23 (And it will be said): "Both of you throw (Order from Allah to the two angels) into Hell, every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messengers, etc.). 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 No word is to be exchanged in My presence. I am not unjust to My servants". 29
