Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 and ease my task for me, 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 And let him share my task, 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and may remember You much. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 He said: surely thou art granted thy petition, O Musa! 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 Your sister went to them and said, "May I show you someone who will nurse this child?" We returned you to your mother to make her rejoice and forget her grief. You slew a man and We saved you from trouble. We tried you through various trials. Then you stayed some years with the people of Midian (Shu'ayb and his family) and after that you came back to Egypt as was ordained. 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
