1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
'O Messengers, eat of the good things and do righteousness; surely I know the things you do. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 and do not ascribe partners to Him; 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 62 Aye! their hearts are in bewilderment in respect thereof, and they have works beside that, of which they are workers. 63 until We seize with Our chastisement those of them that are given to luxuriant ways. They will then begin to groan. 64 Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. 67 Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? 68 Or did they not recognise their Messenger and so denied him? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their caprices, the heavens and the earth and whosoever in them is had surely corrupted. Nay, We brought them their Remembrance, but from their Remembrance they turned. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 And certainly, you (O Muhammad SAW) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 until We opened upon them the door of a severe chastisement. Then lo, in this state they become utterly despaired of any good. 77
