The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in endless columns! 9
