And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
