We verily have displayed (Our warnings) in this Qur'an that they may take heed, but it increaseth them in naught save aversion. 41 Say: If there were with Him gods as they say, then certainly they would have been able to seek a way to the Lord of power. 42 Glory to Him! He is high above all that they say!- Exalted and Great (beyond measure)! 43 The seven skies, the earth, and all that lies within them, sing hallelujas to Him. There is nothing that does not chant His praises, but you do not understand their hymns of praise. He is verily clement and forgiving. 44 When thou recitest the Koran, We place between thee, and those who do not believe in the world to come, a curtain obstructing, 45 And We place upon their hearts veils lest they should understand it, and in their ears a deafness; and when thou makest mention of thy Lord alone in the Qur'an, they turn their backs in aversion. 46 We know best why it is they listen, when they listen to thee; and when they meet in private conference, behold, the wicked say, "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched!" 47 Behold, how they strike similitudes for thee, and go astray, and cannot find a way! 48 And they say, "When we are bones and crumbled particles, will we [truly] be resurrected as a new creation?" 49 Say: "(Nay!) be ye stones or iron, 50 ۞ or any other creation yet more monstrous in your minds' They will ask: 'Who will restore us' Say: 'He who originated you at first' They will shake their heads and ask: 'When will this be' Say: 'Maybe it is near, 51 On the day when He will call you forth, then shall you obey Him, giving Him praise, and you will think that you tarried but a little (while). 52
