The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Woe to the diminishers, 1 who, when people measure for them, take full measure, 2 And who, when they measure unto them or weigh for them, diminish. 3 Do they not know that they are bound to be raised from the dead 4 unto a mighty day 5 A Day whereon mankind shall stand before the Lord of the worlds? 6 Nay, but the record of the vile is in Sijjin - 7 Would that you knew what Sijin is!? 8 It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed. 9 Woe on that Day to those who belied it, 10 and those who have rejected the Day of Judgment. 11 for, none gives the lie to it but such as are wont to transgress against all that is [and are] immersed in sin: 12 When Our revelations are conveyed to him, he says, "Fables of the ancients!" 13 Nay! rather, what they used to do has become like rust upon their hearts. 14 Nay, but surely on that day they will be covered from (the mercy of) their Lord. 15 Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell. 16 and they will be told, "This is what you were wont to belie." 17 By no means! Verily the record of the virtuous shall be in 'Illiyun. 18 But how will you comprehend what 'Illiyun is? 19 It is a written book, 20 Witnessed by those who are honoured. 21 Lo! the righteous verily are in delight, 22 upon couches gazing; 23 Thou wilt recognise in their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss. 24 They will be served the choicest wine, sealed 25 The seal thereof will be of musk. And to this end let the aspirers aspire 26 a wine whose mixture is Tasnim, 27 The spring from which drink the ones close to Allah. 28 Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. 29 And whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery); 30 And when they returned to their household they returned jesting. 31 And when they saw them, they said: "They have indeed gone astray." 32 (they said so although) they had not been appointed watchers over them. 33 But on this Day the believers will laugh at the unbelievers 34 On adorned couches, observing. 35 Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do? 36
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
