[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 And surely this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 those vie in good works, outracing to them. 61 And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in ignorance of this (Koran); and they have deeds besides that which they are doing. 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 Surely My signs have been rehearsed unto you, and upon your heel ye were wont to draw back. 66 in arrogance, as if you were abandoning a story-teller. 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or, is it because they do not recognize their Messenger that they denied him? 69 Or do they say that there is madness in him? Nay, he has brought them the Truth and it is the Truth that most of them disdain. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
