Seest thou one who turns back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 while you make merry? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
