Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 he said: "Behold, you are people unknown [here]!" 62 They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, 63 We have come to thee with the truth, and assuredly we speak truly. 64 So set out thou with thy house hold in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs, and let not one of you look back, and pass whither ye are commanded. 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 The people of the town rejoicingly 67 rushed towards the house of Lot. Lot said to them, "These are my guests. Do not disgrace me. 68 And keep your duty to Allah, and shame me not! 69 They replied: "Did we not forbid you again and again to extend hospitality to all and sundry?" 70 He said: "There are my daughters (to marry), if ye must act (so)." 71 [But the angels spoke thus:] "As thou livest, [O Lot, they will not listen to thee:] behold, in their delirium [of lust] they are but blindly stumbling to and fro!" 72 So the shriek seized them at sunrise. 73 Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. 74 Indeed in that are signs for those who discern. 75 And verily! They (the cities) were right on the highroad (from Makkah to Syria i.e. the place where the Dead Sea is now). 76 Most surely there is a sign in this for the believers. 77 And the people of Aykah were also wrong-doers. 78 We afflicted them with punishment. Both people had clear (divine) authority among them. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
