Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 He said: "You are people I do not know." 62 They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, 63 We bring you the truth, and indeed we are truthful. 64 So set out thou with thy house hold in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs, and let not one of you look back, and pass whither ye are commanded. 65 And We revealed to him this decree, that the roots of these shall be cut off in the morning. 66 Then came the people of the city, exulting at the news. 67 Exclaimed [Lot]: "Behold, these are my guests: so put me not to shame, 68 Have fear of God and do not humiliate me". 69 They replied: "Did we not forbid you again and again to extend hospitality to all and sundry?" 70 He said: These are my daughters, if you will do (aught). 71 Verily, by thy life (O Prophet), in their wild intoxication, they wander in distraction, to and fro. 72 Then the shout took hold of them at the sunrise. 73 And We turned the township upside down and rained upon them stones of heated clay. 74 Verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 75 And the (cities were) right on the high-road. 76 Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. 77 And indeed the Dwellers of the Woods were unjust. 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
