He it is Who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture; 10 He groweth for you thereby the corn and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Verily therein is a sign for a people who ponder. 11 And He subjected to you the night and day, and the sun and moon; and the stars are subjected by His command. Surely in that are signs for a people who understand. 12 And whatsoever He hath created for you in the earth of divers hues, lo! therein is indeed a portent for people who take heed. 13 And He it is Who has subjected the sea (to you), that you eat thereof fresh tender meat (i.e. fish), and that you bring forth out of it ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, that you may seek (thus) of His Bounty (by transporting the goods from place to place) and that you may be grateful. 14 And He has affixed into the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you, and rivers and roads, that you may guide yourselves. 15 And landmarks. And by the stars they are [also] guided. 16 So will He Who creates ever be like one who does not create? So do you not heed advice? 17 If you tried to count God's blessings, you would never be able to number them. God is ever forgiving and most merciful. 18 Allah has knowledge of all that you hide and all that you reveal. 19 And those whom they worship other than Allah, do not create anything but are themselves created. 20 dead, not alive; and are not aware when they shall be raised. 21
