Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 Increase through him my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that we may glorify 33 and remember You much: 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 He said: then what happened to the former generations? 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
