Al-Anbyaa' 3 of 7
Have the unbelievers not ever considered that the heavens and the earth were one piece and that We tore them apart from one another. From water We have created all living things. Will they then have no faith? 30 And We have placed in the earth firm mountains lest it should move away with them, and We placed therein passages for paths, that haply they may be guided. 31 And We made the sky a well-protected roof. Still they turn away from His signs! 32 It is He Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Each of them is floating in its orbit. 33 We have given no man everlastingness before you. So then if you die, will they live ever after? 34 Every soul will know the taste of death. We tempt you with evil and with good as a trial; and to Us you will return. 35 And when those who disbelieve see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one who insults your gods?" And they are, at the mention of the Most Merciful, disbelievers. 36 Man is hasty by nature. I shall certainly show you My Signs. Do not ask Me to be hasty. 37 And they say: when cometh this torment if ye are truth-tellers! 38 Had those who disbelieve but known (of the time) when they shall not be able to ward off the fire from their faces nor from their backs, nor shall they be helped. 39 Aye! it would come upon them on a sudden and shall dumbfound them; they shall not be able to avert it, nor shall they be respited. 40 Other messengers have been mocked before you, but those who scoffed were overwhelmed by the very thing they had mocked. 41

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
