Messengers! Eat of that which is good and do good deeds; I have knowledge of the things you do. 51 And verily, this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: remain, then, conscious of Me! 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 So leave them in their error for a time. 54 Deem they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We enlarge them. 55 Are quickly giving them goodness? In fact, they do not know. 56 Those who tremble in fear of their Lord, 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And those who with their Lord associate not anyone. 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 it is these who hasten to do good works and vie in so doing with one another. 61 We charge not any soul save to its capacity, and with Us is a Book speaking truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Have they not pondered the saying, or came there upon them that which came not upon their fathers, the ancients? 68 Or did you not recognize your Messenger and, thus, denied him (Muhammad) 69 Do they say he is mad! No, he came to them with the truth, but most of them hate the truth. 70 If truth had followed their whims and desires, heavens and earth and all that lives in them would have been brought to ruin. Rather We have brought them their Reminder. Yet they keep avoiding their Reminder. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 You are surely calling them to the right path. 73 But those who do not believe in the Hereafter have indeed deviated from that path. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
