۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 Then the Pharaoh sent announcers to the cities, 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 "And verily, they have done what has enraged us; 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 The people of the Pharaoh pursued them at sunrise. 60 and when the two groups saw each other, Moses' companions said, "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Moses replied, "No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me." 62 Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain. 63 In the meantime We made the others approach that place. 64 and We saved Moses and all who were with him, 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 67 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 68
