Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 "So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We delivered him and his followers all, 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
