And says man: What! when I am dead shall I truly be brought forth alive? 66 Doth not man remember that We created him before, when he was naught? 67 By your Lord, We shall most surely gather them and the devils too; and bring them close to hell on their knees. 68 We shall then pick out from every group the one who was most arrogant towards the Most Gracious. 69 We surely know best those most deserving of the fires of hell, 70 It is the inevitable decree of your Lord that every one of you will be taken to hell. 71 Then, We will save those who were cautious of Us, but the harmdoers shall be left there hobbling on their knees. 72 When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, the Unbelievers say to those who believe, "Which of the two sides is best in point of position? Which makes the best show in council?" 73 We have destroyed so many generations before them, who surpassed them in material power and splendour. 74 Proclaim, “For one in error – so the Most Gracious may give him respite; to the extent that when they see the thing which they are promised – either the punishment or the Last Day; so then they will come to know for whom is the evil rank and whose army is weak.” 75 And God shall increase those who were guided in guidance; and the abiding things, the deeds of righteousness, are better with thy Lord in reward, and better in return 76 And hast thou ever considered [the kind of man] who is bent on denying the truth of Our messages and says, "I will surely be given wealth and children"? 77 Has he the knowledge of the unseen or has the Beneficent God established such a binding agreement with Him? 78 Nay! We shall record what he says, and We shall add and add to his punishment. 79 And We shall inherit from him (at his death) all that he talks of (i.e. wealth and children which We have bestowed upon him in this world), and he shall come to Us alone. 80 For [such as] these have taken to worshipping deities other than God, hoping that they would be a [source of] strength for them. 81 But nay! [On Judgment Day] these [very objects of adoration] will disavow the worship that was paid to them, and will turn against those [who had worshipped them]! 82
