The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not cheat; 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! 185 "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar! 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 They rejected him and then the torment of the gloomy day struck them. It was certainly a great torment. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
