The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and gently take it away; 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
