The unbelievers say: 'When we and our fathers are turned to dust, shall we be brought forth? 67 "It is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients." 68 Say: "Go all over the earth and behold what happened in the end to those [who were thus] lost in sin!" 69 And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire. 70 And [when] they ask, "When is this promise [of resurrection] to be fulfilled? [Answer this, O you who believe in it,] if you are men of truth!" 71 Say: Maybe there may have drawn near to you somewhat of that which you seek to hasten on. 72 Truly, your Lord is bountiful to mankind, but most of them are not grateful. 73 The Lord knows full well what they conceal in their hearts and what they disclose: 74 And naught there is hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an recounteth with truth unto the Children of Isra'il much of that wherein they differ. 76 And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Indeed your Lord judges between them with His command; and He is the Almighty, the All Knowing. 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ When the Word falls on them, We shall bring forth for them out of the earth a beast that shall speak unto them: 'Mankind had no faith in Our signs.' 82
