The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 and the drivers driving, 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
