3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
