Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
