The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
