Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 and the brooding night! 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
