Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
