Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
