And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire! 27 Shall We treat those who believe and do good works as those who spread corruption in the earth; or shall We treat the pious as the wicked? 28 It is a blessed Book which We have revealed for you so that you will reflect upon its verses and so the people of understanding will take heed. 29 To David We gave Solomon (for a son),- How excellent in Our service! Ever did he turn (to Us)! 30 Behold, there were brought before him, at eventide coursers of the highest breeding, and swift of foot; 31 And he said, "Indeed, I gave preference to the love of good [things] over the remembrance of my Lord until the sun disappeared into the curtain [of darkness]." 32 "Bring them back unto me!" - and would [lovingly] stroke their legs and their necks. 33 We surely tried Solomon, and placed another body on his throne. So he turned to God 34 He said: 'Forgive me my Lord, and give me a kingdom the like of which will not befall any after me, surely, You are the Giver' 35 So We made the wind subservient unto him, setting fair by his command whithersoever he intended. 36 And We subjected to him the evil ones: every builder and diver. 37 And others linked together in chains, 38 [And We told him:] "This is Our gift, for thee to bestow freely on others, or to withhold, without [having to render] account!" 39 He has a high position with Us and an excellent abode. 40
