And We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose; this is what the disbelievers assume; therefore ruin is for the disbelievers, by the fire. 27 Should We equate those who do the right with those who spread corruption in the land? Should We make those who are morally integrated equal to those who seek disintegration? 28 It is a blessed Book which We have revealed for you so that you will reflect upon its verses and so the people of understanding will take heed. 29 And We bestowed on David, Solomon. How excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (toward Allah). 30 When in the evening were presented to him the standing steeds, 31 And he said, "Indeed, I gave preference to the love of good [things] over the remembrance of my Lord until the sun disappeared into the curtain [of darkness]." 32 Bring them back unto me; and he set about slashing their legs and necks. 33 And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned. 34 He prayed, "Lord forgive me! Grant me such power as no one after me will have -- You are the Most Generous Provider." 35 So We subjected to him the wind, that ran at his commandment, softly, wherever he might light on, 36 And also the Shayatin (devils) from the jinns (including) every kind of builder and diver, 37 And others bound in fetters. 38 This is Our free gift, therefore give freely or withhold, without reckoning. 39 His reward will be nearness to Us, a good place to return to. 40
