But no; I swear by what you see, 38 And by oath of those you do not see. 39 That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger. 40 And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe. 41 Nor is it the speech of a soothsayer; how little do you ponder! 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 43 And if he had fabricated against Us some of the sayings, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand 45 Then would have cut off his heart’s artery. 46 and not one of you could have defended him. 47 Indeed, it is a Reminder to those who fear Allah, 48 And behold, well do We know that among you are such as will give the lie to it: 49 And indeed it (this Quran) will be an anguish for the disbelievers (on the Day of Resurrection). 50 And indeed, it is the truth of certainty. 51 Extol, then the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 52
